the wind...
Gusty winds and an all day dust storm. It finally let up around 4PM. Began de-dusting the house and started prepping the solar oven and cooking vessels. Solitude over soon - a big sun cooked meal planned for some journalists from Finland arriving tomorrow afternoon. Once I start the baking in the morning...that should give me a couple of hours to finish cleaning up and retrieve what was once a bag of natty light cans that are on their way to Mexico. 66,72,68,0,G

The wind blew like that here too today (40 miles east of San Antonio). No dust here though. Dry as we've been here,I was surprised it didn't look like your place.
Baked Spam with homemade bread- yummy!
Hello from Greece.I have read your story in a Greek newspaper.
Have a nice day.

That dust storm reminds me of two places. The Persian Gulf and El Paso, Texas.
I love the vision of the Natty cans tumbling towards Mexico...that should be a fun pick up job...lol
Happy early birthday wishes, John (and Benita)! Thanks for giving me inspiration every day.
Well John,
I hope Benita was able to stay out of the bad wind and dust..Did she made it home for her birthday..
Happy Birthday Benita...
We didn't get a card sent, but want to wish Benita a happy birthday.
Just dropped by to wish Benita a fantastic birthday! I ordered better weather with much less wind, and from what I hear, it was a beautiful day for her and that guy she hangs around to celebrate their day of birth. Hope the cards got there in time, and the goodies for JW were not too melted. Again, HaPpY bIrTdAy!!!
Reminds me of being at Burning Man......I miss being home.
Happy Birthday Benita!

I live in Baytown and the wind has been blowing hard for the last 6 weeks!
. . . 'march comes in like a lion', they used to say back in El Paso, where I used to live ages ago.
