But the reality that I experienced here is very similar to how viable they are when it comes their use on the scale of those big wind farms out there. They simply don't make sense. https://www.masterresource.org/grassroots-opposition/20-bad-things-wind-3-reasons-why/<br />John Wellshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12783305402239706779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6120586935905234915.post-527549759983601752016-12-23T20:12:54.317-06:002016-12-23T20:12:54.317-06:00They built a wind farm on a high hill about ten mi...They built a wind farm on a high hill about ten miles from us. Huge, tall towers with giant white spinning blades. On a clear day we can see them turning in the sun light. Can't decide if it's a beautiful sight or eye pollution.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14292956632760082576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6120586935905234915.post-47738956756025152602016-12-23T19:39:57.767-06:002016-12-23T19:39:57.767-06:00I discovered long ago that the sun is a lot more r...I discovered long ago that the sun is a lot more reliable than the wind out here and wind turbines are always prone to mechanical failure (although if you are careless like I was - solar panels are prone to it also). Few people realize that any wind turbine requires a minimum of 20 mph wind to produce any usable energy.
