My poor ol' Panasonic point and shoot is dying a slow death...so filled with dust now it is having trouble with the auto focus. Every shot I did today was not quite there. I hope Santa brings me a new camera for Christmas. Got 6 sheets of siding up today on the northside with reinforcements.
Congratulations to Marfa Maid Dairy for reaching their Kickstarter goal this afternoon - and thank you to friends of TFL that helped make this happen. More good cheese for everyone is a good thing. 58,77,42,0,C,0
Is there no cure for sand in a camera? I got sand in mine at the beach and it grinds when it takes pics now. I meant to ask you when it happened.
ReplyDeleteThe barn looks great!
every time the lens extends and retracts...it sucks a little more dust inside the camera.
ReplyDeletebarn looks marvelous.
ReplyDeletea question about goat cheese.

ReplyDeleteA very big YEA(!!!) and congratulations for Marfa Maid Dairy. Thank you John for making us aware. I hope I will be able to try out their wonderful cheese one day soon here in Harris County. Their goats are tooooo cute! (But Ben gives them a run for their money)
ReplyDeleteP.S. sorry about your camera, it's nearly new...and it has provided us with some EXCELLENT pics of Field Lab happenings. wish i could send you mine ....it doesn't get near the use...actually, last used when i visited in October. Hope it can hold out a little longer.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when a camera dies. Lost one over Thanksgiving, it hurts me. Beautiful barn.
ReplyDeleteMighty fine looking playpen & shelter for Ben...
ReplyDeleteI would suggest some apropriate scratching rails on inside of the barn to prevent eventual damage by your grown up boy.
John,
ReplyDeleteWouldn't a diving enclosure protect it?
I have a plan if I buy another point and shoot...
ReplyDeleteAs much dust as you have in your environment, you should just look at point & shoot cameras as disposable, and get a new one every year or two. I'm interested in seeing the plan you have for the new one. I saw an ad in a magazine today for a Nikon Cool Pix which is waterproof, and shock proof. Maybe something like that would fare better at the FL.
ReplyDeleteThe barn looks great, and Ben seems to be warming up to it.
