third fence run...
Had a visit this morning from Roxanna and Kirk Kinder. They were in town up in Alpine for the homecoming football game between Sul Ross and Howard Payne. Kirk has the blessed job of being facilities and shelter manager for the Humane Society of North Texas "kindness, justice and mercy to every living creature". Their son Eian is a 290lb freshman and plays center for the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets. Nice of his folks to swing down south for a Field Lab visit before the big game. They brought gifts for me and Ben and got Benita Tshirts in return. Carl did his part and attacked Roxanna. BTW...the Lobos trounced the Yellow Jackets today 58 - 17.
Stretched the longest run of fence today on the east side without a hitch. 63,85,58,0,W,0
That is a very, very good-looking fence.
ReplyDeleteAny chance of Ben getting his head caught in the fence? The holes look big in the picture. Of course once his horns grow bigger, he will be OK! The fence is looking great!

ReplyDeleteWow John...that's a lot of T-post pounding in some not-so-friendly dirt. The fence looks great...Ben will be proud!
ReplyDeleteSuch a big fenced-in area was a lot of work for you but I can imagine the joy Ben will have romping around with so much freedom to move. At the rate he's growing, you'll have it done in just the nick of time. Hope you make Sunday a day to rest.
ReplyDeleteIn need of our Monday morning "Sunday" sermon. Can't believe how much Ben's grown. He's almost eye level with his current railing.
ReplyDeleteSome very nice work. That is one fine pasture. I guess it could use a little grass, though.
ReplyDeleteSorry we missed you on our trip to Terlingua this time. Things got a little busy around our campsite. The storm that blew in strong on Saturday evening just about blew us away.
