the right tools
Tried out the milling rig for the first time today. Tested a block of wood first then a chunk of scrap graphite. Worked like a charm. 78,86,56,0,C
You might consider rotating your workpiece 45 degrees to improve your clamping surface area. I've never milled graphite before, but if it were steel or aluminum you might have a problem with slippage if you took a more aggressive pass. Looking really good, though! Love the low-buck set-up you have going there.
John would you consider selling any of your acerage?? I am a military vet an honestly about to be broke due to VA complications...Please contact me @ Bearzbusiness@gmail.com
In response to your comment hilary..We can pay them to kill but have no money to heal...On the verge of another false war which will take trillions...Again no money to help those who served..Completely BS.
Looking good. (Just out of curiosity I'm wondering why the "holder-downers" aren't adjusted alike?)
ReplyDelete...because I was being sloppy - it was just a test.
ReplyDeleteI understand ... been there - done that.

ReplyDeleteI could probably use a rubber band to hold it down...graphite mills like butter.

ReplyDeleteI am especially impressed as to how someone made that bit.... given it's shape and it's ability to cut hard materials..
ReplyDeleteIt's on the news right now about new problems the vets are having with the government-so many problems I can't keep up.

ReplyDeleteYou simply have to put one foot in front of the other and keep going. Put blinders on and plow right ahead. See the link below for more info.
