keeping an eye on things...
Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of theLordare in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
The Sheriffs told me to get involved with church. I have been to most of them. I used to go to all of them. Mostly now I rarely go. Churches have changed a lot. They hardly ever sing the old favorite songs (which is what old people in nursing homes like). Now we get jam sessions.I do not like being lectured or have a finger wagging at me calling me a sinner (which I do not hear now). I like uplifting, positive messages and very good Bible studies (not mental health hospital Bible therapy). People say churchgoers are sick people trying to get good to get in to Heaven. Some say we make our own heaven and hell right here on earth.
Whether a person is of the cloth or a lay preacher, their judgement opinions of others annoy me. God is the only judge. We can see what we like or not for us, but not pronounce judgement using the Bible. How unreligious. And it is up to God to take vengeance, not me. What goes around comes around. Actually my only main book is the Bible. But I was not blessed with preaching. I just work on living it. For me, the Bible has helped me through life. It was written by so many brilliant people.
Proverbs and Psalms ... a great place to start reading the Bible.
"For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope." (Romans 15:4)
You are a real darling Margery. I just had to smile at the 'jamming session' part. I read all your comments. Somehow they just seem so innocent and sincere.
Good picture. Ingenious stand. I like Proverbs and Psalms.
