I'm waiting... I want the gold coin they have recently talked about. I guess I'm a coin collector knowing I will not see the increase of value for state coins, and US. Parks...but I have mercury dines, silver dollars I would not part with
WOW....now this....is stunningly beautiful in both image and words. I'm not an American nor a coin collecter but I love silver. Any idea what such a coin could retail for?
Silver eagles have a legal tender face value of one dollar but are one troy ounce of silver so they are worth at least the going price of silver which is just over $17 per ounce. You can usually find these for only a couple of dollars over the price of silver which means you can currently buy them for under $20. https://thefieldlab.blogspot.com/2015/10/so-i-bought-few-silver-eagles.html
You can get a single coin on Amazon from Texas Precious Metals, it comes in a nice plastic holder and with a coupon for $20 off on your first purchase of $1000 at TPM. TPM is my metals dealer of choice, best prices, super fast shipping and you can enter limit orders for gold and silver on their very professional website.
If you are looking to buy silver eagles - keep an eye out for deals from Apmex on eBay.
