cross county

Had a traveler camp at TFL Sunday night.  Tobias Foglia was looking for a rustic campground out my way and ended tenting it right behind my house.  He was pretty beat having just peddled 65 miles from Alpine.  The perfect overnight guest - he brought his own food, cookware, stove, and bedroom.  He has been cycling cross country since he left Boston last September...on his way to San Diego.  After his night here, he was planning on a couple of nights down in the national park before continuing his journey west.  89,97,56,0,B

Must have been a heck of a ride in on your dirt road.

My gosh. That's my comment about everything. I wonder if you were expecting him?

I can only guess that he's been following your blog to have found you. Hope Chupa and Ben welcomed him.

Actually...he had never heard of TFL nor had he ever seen my blog. He only came out this way because he found a primitive camp site area online that is just SW of me. He also came in the hard way via Agua Fria Road to Lavaca Road. He left via Mailbox Road which is a much easier ride on a bicycle. Chupa only pecked him a few times. https://youtu.be/x6qqnBBc-OI

Ha! Well, as they say, it's not about the destination, it's about the journey. That was some bumpy journey he took and will make for a very good story when he gets to his destination. And hopefully he'll check out your blog then also.
