Off topic: I recently found your blog and read it from the beginning and finished with this post.i can day for the most part it has been enjoyable and I along with the others am impressed with the skills you possess. On March 27, 2019 you posted "... it is virtually impossible for one man to live a completely sustainable life out here (or just about anywhere else)- especially if you are a meat eater. I'd have to disagree. It can, has and is being done. Richard Proenneke (Alone in the Wilderness- YouTube) is probably the most skillful. Also, Heimo Korth (Book: The Fianl Frontiersman) and Eustace Conway (Movie: Full Circle- Amazon, Book: Last Man Standing) all have done it. Also, if it bothers you so much that people make suggestions since your blog is meant to be a "diary and not a dialogue" why not just turn off the comments?
1. Yes...a few have been able to survive (barely and with much difficulty) but for the most part, it requires that you spend every waking hour of every day just trying to stay alive. In this day and age, very few people are willing to live that way. 2. I don't mind suggestions, and people are free to comment all they want. However - most suggestions I get are worthless, and comments like yours are just passive aggressive nonsense.
Oh yeah! Looks like that might take the D engine?
ReplyDeleteIt is a small rocket. I will be trying it with the largest engine suggested which is a C6-7 which should get it up to 1,100 ft.
ReplyDeleteIn college I had to build and launch one for a space course (I thought that was so dumb). I built the best and it went the most distance - very high.
ReplyDeleteHow big is this rocket?
ReplyDeleteIt's a small rocket...1 inch diameter and 12.25" tall. If the test goes well, I may get a much bigger one.
ReplyDeleteIn comparison, how high can you take the drone?
ReplyDeleteThe drone can go up to 1,640 ft...but the FAA would prefer that I don't go higher than 400 ft.
