in the cold protected zone...
Rooted cuttings from rooted cuttings from tomato plants started 34 months ago. 63,72,32,0,B
I grew up in the Deep South, where my mother would have my brother pee on the tomato plants. Not me, since good little Southern girls didn't squat in the dirt, eh. I was always kind of jealous.
I've seen these before, remmij, though never so cleverly named!
Hell, if a person can drink urine to stay alive (it's sterile as it passes out of the body) I reckon tomatoes will benefit from the moisture AND the nitrogen! Don't fear the urine.
pissmato is frequently feared… although with EVO, thyme, basil, salt and a pinch of soil it might make a passable dressing… and a large bottle of wine. heard of it for lemon trees also… "A healthy person's urine is about 95 percent water and sterile, so in the short term it's safe to drink and does replenish lost water. But the other 5 percent of urine comprises a diverse collection of waste products, including nitrogen, potassium, and calcium—and too much of these can cause problems."
Drinking your own urine in a survival situation is not a wise thing to do at all. You'll only dehydrate your body further. That kind of advise is dangerous.
@Wells - the MSR article was interesting… it seems highly unlikely that any of the readers will be pSipping at any point, but good to know. tomato water dribble the science 'mato H₂O
