Then along the beautiful river road between Lajitas and Presidio. Great time. Take care out there.Miltonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08837372110096600077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6120586935905234915.post-72628080133770299852009-06-01T06:00:56.614-05:002009-06-01T06:00:56.614-05:00Please use caution! You can shoot the head with little danger of ricochet or penetration of objects you don't want penetrated. (I have put tiny holes in a wooden porch post doing this...but that's the worst that has happened.) I only kill them if they're very close to the house. And it doesn't happen very often...but when it does....Judyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12176837755328415113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6120586935905234915.post-40596106316862125152009-05-31T15:35:36.020-05:002009-05-31T15:35:36.020-05:00The outer perimeter of the containers will be seal...The outer perimeter of the containers will be sealed with concrete to keep critters out.John Wellshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12783305402239706779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6120586935905234915.post-43100627730893053912009-05-31T15:30:47.053-05:002009-05-31T15:30:47.053-05:00Would snakes search for cover under those containe...Would snakes search for cover under those containers ?Lexstokhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03242002966321259385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6120586935905234915.post-16567287747194660022009-05-31T10:42:22.538-05:002009-05-31T10:42:22.538-05:00Wish I could figer out how to edit or add to my ow...Wish I could figer out how to edit or add to my own post on here, but,

The most effective thing you can do to prevent snakes is to make the place NOT attractive to them. No mice around, no hiding places for them, no water, etc etc, the other option of kill the deadly things. They are NOT pets or cute cuddly critters.Ben in Texashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09068952818736489066noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6120586935905234915.post-50120169056853155872009-05-31T10:13:43.069-05:002009-05-31T10:13:43.069-05:00John

More rocks than sand up here (Fort Davis) and what a difference 5000 feet makes. June is hot but 15-20 degrees cooler than Austin.
Neil
http://www.lonestarbunker.combunker_manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00388230710649240038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6120586935905234915.post-73409359925554436832009-05-31T08:47:04.338-05:002009-05-31T08:47:04.338-05:00Ben,

I've only had to use the shotgun and the machete once in the 3 years I've been out here.

GiniVginivhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14304662948640146328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6120586935905234915.post-16654877485429902112009-05-31T08:33:08.914-05:002009-05-31T08:33:08.914-05:00GiniV got it right,,here I use mothballs, then di...GiniV got it right,,here I use mothballs, then discovered Snak-a-way and it works,,same chemicals, Doesn't kill them just runs them off. but nothing works as well as a shotgun!!
