What are you doing for water out there (the first rule of sustainability), a catchment system is kinda iffy and the well down the road may not always be available. Not a dig just curious.
I don't know the cost of this turbine that pulls 1000 liters of water/day out of the air and produces 30KW of electricity, but maybe you you formed a co-opt out on the ranch it might be feasible. http://www.eolewater.com/gb/our-products/range.html
My property is optimized to capture and store approx. 4,000 gallons of water per inch of rainfall. Total storage capacity is 23,000 gallons....currently, I have about 8,000 gallons on reserve. Atmospheric water generators running off solar or wind power are cost prohibitive in areas where daytime humidity levels are below 10%.
