Simple Sunday...

Which came first - the chicken or the egg?  If you think about it (like I have time to do), that simple question offers a lot to think about.  I asked Carl the same question and he said, " I did!"  Although a very clever answer, Carl tends to think only about himself without fully examining the bigger picture.  78,88,49,0,B,0

    I've never cared to ponder on which came first, I just enjoy eating both.

    If a person believes in the seven days(24 hours) of creation, then the chicken came first. I, too, enjoy eating both.

    Great pic of the C-Bird!
    happened to catch some of your ustream this afternoon and Carl was doing his rooster yodel thing - even managed to rouse Ben from his nap at one point - the new stream seems to work well.
    Hope this doesn't set off a wave of chicken riots around the world, but it may inspire Carl to expand his repertoire.

    I say the egg came first. The first chicken was a mutation from another very similar animal that produced the egg.

    According to the Creator of chickens, and the author of the Record of their origins, chickens came first. It was on the Fifth Day of Creation Week that He created "every winged fowl after [their] kind" (Genesis 1:21) complete with the DNA to reproduce that kind. Then He "blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply" (v.22) using that DNA. For the chickens this meant lay chicken eggs. Problem solved.
