Crazy Aunt Jean Trees
One of the palo verde trees I started from seed a few years ago eked out its' first flower. 78,90,54,0,C
Nice effort, John! For those of you who wonder why he would even consider such a tree (besides it being a Texas native), check out the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center: http://www.wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=PAAC3
Oh, I remember Lady BIird's efforts, I lived in the Dallas/Ft Worth area 1982-1994 and traveled the state highways -byways and looked - diving at 70mph or higher at the beauty of her endeavors. No one ever questioned where the funds came from, how those beauties the Painted brush or blue bells got there but OMGolly geeze wiz zeros were they wonderful!

Yes when I came down from Ohio to the beautiful weather of Texas and saw the fields filled with beautiful flowers, it was like finding paradise.
