On the trip to El Paso a couple of weeks ago I noticed a bunch viney looking plants along the highway outside of Marfa. Did a supply run to Alpine today and saw one just south of the Border Patrol checkpoint on 118. Spotted another on a berm on the west side just across from Elephant Mountain. Kinda wondering how they got started. 85,99,72,0,B

ReplyDeleteGourds are neat. A person can do so much with them. In Ohio there are big gourd festivals. As for me, I am going to practice Shavasano Yoga again tonight. :-)

ReplyDeletethere's a checkpoint on 118?
ReplyDeletenow Im looking for a snake!
ReplyDeleteYes, Rita, there is a serious checkpoint (although some people might not think so) on 118. And it is not a good idea to get out of your vehicle at night and walk around rattling the guards in the building by looking for a garbage can (there is none for security reasons) because the good guard dog will bark loudly outside somewhere and scare you. It is not like the old
ReplyDeletedays coming out of Laredo when the handsome lone cowboy border guard would stand out in the two-lane path and flag you
down and you could joke with him. Times change.
