sun soon?

Heading into the portion of a storm event when cabin (and barn) fever begins to kick in. Ben and Bud spend most of their time in the barn unless there is an alfalfa snack outside.  More rain in the forecast through tomorrow morning...then the long wait to drive a dry road.  53,57,52, .31",B

  1. Were you able to get Bud's aggressive behavior solved. After watching Dr. Pol (I have discovered that there can be so many problems with cows) that he has corrected many castrations after the first one wasn't successfull.

Glad you have full tanks with lots of rain to green up the desert.

  3. How old is a longhorn when their horns stop growing. Ben is getting a really nice set. I remember back when they were just nubbins.

  4. One last question. We city people don't know much about large animals. Did you ever get a chance to finish trimming Bud's hoofs and get Ben's done.

  5. They grow as long as they are healthy and receive good nutrition. They do have slower growth in their senior years.

  6. I hope you're gearing up to document the changes in the desert environment from all this rain. Looking forward to some gorgeous photos.

  7. Good for you, John, that you are up on high ground when it is flooded around you.

  8. I do love that picture. Glad Ben's feistiness is on the wane. Hated the thought that you might have to get rid of him.
