enhanced mobility

Went for a short drive to the mailboxes today to see if I could.  First time behind the wheel in 6 weeks.  My horizons just expanded exponentially.  60,71,30,0,C

  2. I wondering how long it would be until you would attempt to drive. Did you experience any discomfort?

  3. You must be elated! I would remind you to "keep both feet on the ground" but that might not be the best advice.?! Easy does it.

  6. Congratulations! I know it must be difficult for a self-sufficient person like yourself to have to rely on others.

Easy does it...in no time you will be back to normal :)

  9. Automatic trans not so difficult to work with your left foot, manual trans is a bit more tricky. Back in 86 I broke both ankles when a staging plank broke. Clubfooting my Beetle with two plaster casts was not so bad. The problem was when I drove myself to the doctor the day they were removed. The lower end of a disassembled wooden crutch worked the clutch and brake. I could barely work the gas pedal with my weak foot.

  10. I used a crutch for the gas and left foot for the break.

  12. That's great news. Don't push it, any setback is going to cost you twice as much time.

  15. Well John, I am rooting for your full and normal recovery. But today I prayed for you and gave you to God because he has your back and the master plan. I have to pause when agitated. And In the pause, I find God.

  16. People have always said I was a bad influence, guess it's true. You're out there following in my foot step...Of course being a responsible citizen like myself you installed your hand controls. They were in the box Manny brought you tomorrow, I mean today....right ?
