Allegiance

Scott Cohen, a friend from my upstate NY days is back on network TV.  The new show premiers tonight on NBC.  Scott hired me to babysit his old farmhouse for a couple of seasons.  Their weekend getaway was prone to freezing pipes or a flooded basement depending on the season.  All these years later, hardly a meal goes by without me thinking about him and his family - they gave me this trusty Swiss Army knife one year for Christmas.  49,57,38,0,B

    And that is what I passed up- acting. My mothers 1st cousin played the piano for the silent movies and wanted to be an actress. But her mother told her she had to get married so she did. Then I was 26 and had a security clearance and worked for the government in Laredo -- a forever job of course-- I was taken out to the John Wayne set and they wanted me to be in his movies. I declined.

    I have one of those knives. I used it in Alaska and everywhere for years for so much. Handy. It must be around here somewhere.
