Yes, we have spotted Michiganders flocking here to Texas around October/November. They are pretty rare right now with all this heat. I would imagine John never sees them around Alpine.
Ha, ha-yes ,going around the world to the left. Seriously, they are all over the Chihiahuan area. That's when all the young people come back and open up their shops and pretend they are from there. I know, because time and again, I parked my car at the end of Sept. and went to a shop and it was locked. Wusses wern't back yet. Also, o reading material there except paperback old westerns at the P.O. There was AA.

ReplyDeleteYet when I was 18, I could iron inside with no air conditioning or fan and closed windows and not perspire and think nothing of it.
ReplyDeleteOh, it was 107 degrees then in San Angelo, TX, during a record breaking heat wave in the 1950's.
ReplyDeleteNow there is a slight breeze outside and it is very pleasant to sit outside-going down to 70 plus.

Ok ... so Texas wins the BTU count, but with an average snowfall of 150 inches clearly Michigan is flaky-er.

I heard at the pool that La Jihtas that has the drunk goat as a mayor puts in a new golf hole when they get some money and now they are up to hole 11.
