No, those birds are not interested in washing dishes - but looking for water and something to eat! The surrounding land is mostly barren desert. But the Field Lab is an oasis for all wildlife - with a great abundance of catchment water. Water is the GOLD STANDARD in the Chihuhuan Desert!
