  4. Is there any reason to have wood in the water?

  5. A lot of bees drown unless there is something floating in the water.

  7. We place a curved log over the edge of all our guzzler basins - so the insects, mice, birds, etc. - will have an escape route - instead of drowning & contaminating the water in the guzzlers. Caution: Do not locate a watering trough or guzzler close to your cabin - because these sources of permanent water also attract DESERT TERMITES. I.E. these critters will also start eating all nearby things made of wood - like cabins! I want to assure all there are lots of desert termites - living in our beautiful Chihuahuan Desert! But you normally only see them living - very close to a permanent source of water!

  8. Is the character "Javier" played by a single javelina or is he a composite of several?
