  1. Decided trimming down and painting my fire hydrant would make for a good Sunday project. The thing was a beast to move until I cut it half. Thanks to Ken Clouse of http://www.westtxrealty.com/ for gifting it to TFL. 2. I found myself waiting to hear Chupa crowing in the back ground as this video ended. Here's an idea to make your videos even more unique; get Chupa crowing and use that at the closing fade out of your videos. It would be an awesome TFL touch.

  5. I grew up in Rumson NJ 66' thru 81' & then off to college. There was a coveted job in Rumson to paint the town fire hydrants. Each summer you would see a mid-high school student pulling a wagon, paint & brushes..... They were Red hydrants! HA!

  7. I live in Florence, Alabama and there are fire hydrants located every couple of blocks in the subdivision where I live. They look similar to the fire hydrant John has in his front yard- but the one closest to my house never been painted in the 43 years I have lived here. It may not be pretty like John's beauty - but they check them every year - to establish that water will flow from them - in case of a house fire!

  9. Yes, Ronald, in the early 40's in south Chicago when my dad was stationed there the water sure blasted out of the hydrant there and we children ran through it in the summer.

  10. Well John, this was pure genius. Now if the house catches fire you only need a shorter hose! Bravisimo on that one.
