potable...

Every now and then someone asks me how I filter my rainwater for drinking.  After almost 10 years, I figured its about time I start drinking it.  I bought a filter system right before I broke my leg and I finally got around to setting it up today.  Does the same thing the fancy stainless steel Berkey system does at a fraction of the cost...$50 vs $300.  Video coming soon.  88,100,70,0,B

  1. In Juneau, AK, I had a filter in a pitcher in my refrigerator. O.K. Then we learned our water from the tap had DDT in it. In the past some people had a cabin in the woods with DDT stored there and the bridge over the river broke and it fell into the river where our water came from. Well, my water-filter pitcher worked evidently because I lived through it.

  2. We have filtered for years and also love the bucket filter. Works just fine -- simple, effective and inexpensive.
