Met my
colonoscopist today...former New Yorker so we exchanged big city stories. I told him I bet he didn't expect to see another a**hole from NY since he moved to Texas. Procedure is scheduled for next Wednesday. Stocked up on supplies and now hunkering down for 2 really crappy days with a slight chance of snow on Thursday. 47,58,46,0,B
Really crappy days means rainy, stormy? It was 50 and sunny here today, beautiful sunset.
ReplyDeleteI read this post a few minutes ago but couldn't respond until I recovered from a fit of rolling on the floor laughing! Good luck, did it myself a couple of times. Hope everything comes out ok, both before and after the procedure.
ReplyDeleteYepper, I hate cold, doesn't do my bones good. Got a fire going as I type. Went and had my colonoscopy in 2010, he gave me a card that said my next appointment was in 20 years. Said my colon looked like a baby's. That is the result of a totally plant based diet for at least 10 years. Some folks call it vegan, but that means I could't have leather gloves to weld with, a leather coat to keep me warm, etc. I like animals but I don't eat them or their derivatives.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog a few days ago through you tube. Watched an old one from 2014 where you were giving a tour of your lab. I have been searching for cheap land to purchase for myself various reasons, for about a year now. Been practicing getting by on very little and slowly accumulating the necessities to move and live on said land. Welp, enjoy the cold snap, I have to go for more fire blocks tomorrow. Takes about 6-8 hours to get over that exam. I drove myself home. The worst part was emptying the digestive tract beforehand...messy :D Good luck!
The worst part was the preparation for the test. Whew. I even bought a diaper but I think it was not necessary because I was evacuated or something. Just would like to forget about that whole thing. Yeah, welcome to the club.
ReplyDeleteExcellent joke! Very clever and funny!
