We have some bees in a hollow in one of the trees in front and they have stung me and my husband. They chased us today and we were nowhere near the hive. They are getting very aggressive but we hate to kill them. I'm just concerned someone visiting us might get stung.
@Janet: are they africanized bees? A swarm of those can be lethal to humans and large animals because of their aggressive behavior. They are particularly moved to attack anything black in color. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Africanized_bee
If you watch closely, you'll see several of the bees attack and ultimately kill one of the bees. Likely an outsider from a different hive. Nature can be brutal and unforgiving.
