a little toasty...

Got the AC tricked out just in time and even it could barely keep up.  It was HOT today.  Received an order to cover the next 90 loaves of my solar oven wheat bread.  (FYI - there are approximately 107 tablespoons in five pounds of honey).  96,104,71,0,B

  1. I have been using Manuka Honey - 5 from New Zealand. I like it. I thought maybe it could help me out. But my doctor told me I have true Vertigo so I have some exercises which I remember I used a few times a few years ago. And someone told me I would die like John Kennedy from Vertigo (his disorientation flight). I doubt it. I always got sea sick like the time I was in a Pacific Typhoon. Yes it was hot today here near San Antonio. Even my dogs wanted to come back in very soon after they went out.

  2. JFK Jr. didn't die from vertigo. He died because he was an inexperienced pilot who flew is very bad weather conditions.

  4. That's a real nice bread order. Probably not many competitors in the field of solar oven baked bread.

  5. …while waiting on my copy of "Interconnected World & Local Events That Are NOT Just Random" by Margery Bills,
I am thumbing through "Atlas of a Lost World" by Craig Childs… about a cooler time than what John is currently experiencing
as the Great Bend region heats up for another Summer. Ninety loaves is a Texas-sized order for a solitary SO - hope the clouds stay clear.
Looks like some rain might make it the first part of the coming week… could cause baking delays thru Wed..
    quite the selection

  6. We used to mix butter and molasses and spread it on hot biscuits ... delicious. Something tells me that would be great on your solar bread.
