throwback thursday...

  1. In 1996, my photographer buddy Dan Winters broke his neck in a mountain biking accident. He had to wear this "halo" for 3 months. I shot this on super 8 when I was in LA on some jobs. Dan had already been in the halo for a month when he went back to work shooting portraits. I assisted him on his first job after the accident - a portrait of Tony Curtis for Esquire. 3. TY remmij for the pictures. I never recognize well-known people when I first see them. Maybe that is a blessing. But I have met many and would have some stories which go unheard. (Maybe I could have been one when they took me out to John Wayne's movie set in Texas and wanted me to be in the movies when I was young. But I had a government security clearance then and chose to stay with my job.)
