Pepino News
Years ago when I first built Pepino (my 12VDC swamp cooler), I bought a bunch of greenhouse evaporative cooler pads for it. After a lot of trial and error, I found this type of pad works best for my application. Been noticing that last years pad just isn't cooling like it should so I used the last new chunk I had on hand to replace it. That made a 10° cooling difference. Ordered a new slab that should cover me for the next three years. Each replacement requires a 12" piece. 76,105,93,0,B
Loss of effective evaporation surface due to biological growth and airborne particle accumulation ?
ReplyDeleteI used to use our whole house AC but toward the end I always had to have it filled with more Freon or what ever they put in them. I finally gave up and got a couple AC unites from Wal-Mart on wheels and a telescoping vent tubing that lets the hot air off the coils out through a window. They do a go good job and we have a 25 foot by 80 foot home. Of course we close off two of the rooms we don't use. Works for us.
ReplyDeleteAC has been a bane to me for reasons. I have a small Wal Mart air for emergencies and the one on wheels you have still in the box. But at the Jiffy Lube they have a Mini Splits and I think that might be the way for me to go. And so forth and so on. They coated my coils to see if they would last longer. Seeeeeing.
ReplyDeleteDIZZY-DICK … could you please post brand/model specks on this AC. Sounds like something I might need soon.
