Pandemic Saturday

The numbers are still growing - but the good news is, Trump is finally going to take some definitive action in regard to the pandemic.  He wants to ban the social app Tik Tok.  That ought to save some American lives...

  5. John - Thanks for doing what you do. I've been involved with construction since 1969. Just watched you installing window trim. You installed the trim like a craftsman / trim carpenter. I like the multiple measurement locations. I hold the IECC / ICC energy licenses for both Res. and Comm. over the past few years I've purchased 108 acres in N/E Texas and recently started working on my own energy lab. The area most interesting to me is ag. and how to build better production building that are both animal compassionate and energy efficient.
I'm glad that I found your blog. Sorry I wrote so much about me. I just want to say THANK YOU for the work your doing. Regards

  7. The pandemic deaths in 1957 and 1968 were worse than this one (so far) given the population of the country then.

  8. Rob...Interesting - but are those pandemic numbers supposed to make the current pandemic seem inconsequential? Keep in mind in '57 and '68, interstate and global travel was nowhere near what it is today. From what I have gathered from research, both pandemics were contained only after rapid development and deployment of a vaccine and the '68 pandemic was eased by the fact that many people that had been exposed to the earlier pandemic retained immunity.

  10. To think that son-in-law Kushner had a testing plan to combat COVID-19 but then realized that it would save the lives of people in Blue States...so he backed off from it.

I guess he did not think the virus could travel to the Red States? What an idiot!

  11. Trump is imperfect, but there were few alternatives left for most of us who want to keep more of what they make and be left alone.

Please go back to New York and stay there. You do nice work, but too bad you clearly a leftist douche.

Both parties are awful, but I see nothing to gain on my part by voting left.

  12. John,
Did you do a new Texas Country Reporter?

  13. Off Grid Research...this was a rerun of an old episode on TCR. The Lab Manager...I am a conservative Christian constitutionalist that has voted Republican for most of my adult life. Opposing Trump's juvenile behavior, constant lies, and inadequacies as president in dealing with the pandemic does not suddenly make me a "leftist douche". I did not vote in the last election because rather than it just being the choice of the lesser of two evils - it was only a choice between two different kinds of evil. Having lived in NYC for a number of years, I know very well what a douche Trump is.

  14. Hey The Lab Manager, Agreed: "Both parties are awful"
What kind of president would say he is going to delay the elections or is not ready to commit to election results if he loses... An arrogant egotistical Richard Cranium Ass Hole.
He makes up his own rules to suit him and him only and is clueless about basic America and Americans.
He cares absolutely nothing about you. All he cares about is Donald Fk'n Trump!

  16. Yes, President Trump is reportedly going to ban the Chinese App TikTok.

After President Trump bans the Chinese App TokTok, and you still want to watch teenagers dance you will have to board an airplane and fly with the Bill Clinton clan to fantasy island.

  17. @Rob – wrong. Look at the numbers. In the US we've already exceeded both the 57 and 68 pandemic deaths. And, we are only a few months into this. It will get much worse, and global deaths aren't far behind breaking those records. Keep your head in the sand if you like. Your death, quite frankly, doesn't really worry me or Trump, for that matter. I'd rather expect it at this point.

  18. John Andrew...Trump only wants to ban TikTok because the users made him look like a fool at his Tulsa rally when they reserved hundreds of thousands of tickets. There is no national security threat with the app. In the news today he said he won't ban it if Microsoft buys the app. Watch Trump claim in the coming months how he added millions in tax dollars from the deal to the government coffers due to his action. Meanwhile his inaction in regard to the pandemic is still killing American citizens.
