Best place I have found to learn about Arduino is over at Boing Boing, a search in their store came up with this: https://store.boingboing.net/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&query=arduino Also, a search for ESP8266 has interesting results. Apps to program with smart phone or computer, ect... Line up vin, Grd, Rst (Voltage in, Ground, Reset) smaller board (ESP8266 piggy back) on to larger board, carefully plug together, hook up needed voltage to blue connectors and start programming for whatever WIFI use you dream up. Basically fancy remote switch.
L293D WiFi Motor Drive Expansion Board Shield Module and ESP8266 WiFi Serial Wireless Module NodeMCU - using the Arduino integrated development environment (IDE) for programming. Since I have boosted my wifi out so far, I figured I would try building a desert rover that I can control over the network. This is a project I have wanted to do for many years and recently I came across this video that made it all look pretty simple. The big questions are - can I get it to work at all / can I power the rig and a camera indefinitely with solar / and how far can it go? https://youtu.be/0zs-A_fC3Yg
What are you going to use for a rig to mount it on? You might also add a tracker to make easy to find. Sounds like the program is available, so the hard part is done. Will the rover have Wyze Cam ?
I have a relatively large and inexpensive RC toy car coming as a test platform - as well as another Wyze Cam that I found on Ebay that is 5 bucks cheaper than the Amazon price. So far, I am under the $100 budget I set for this phase of the experiment.
