There are two Porters grocery stores on Alpine. The 2nd street store is the one being renovated. Their other location is on East Sul Ross Avenue. https://bigbendsentinel.com/2022/02/02/porters-2nd-street-location-in-alpine-to-close-undergo-renovation-until-november-2022/
Thanks for the link, John. I believe I stopped at the 2nd Street store many moons ago and had forgotten their name. I was hoping this store was in the Study Butte/Terlingua area.
The Cottonwood Store in Study Butte is actually quite an adequate alternative to a big grocery store. I rarely go to Alpine anymore unless have absolutely have to.
I’ve heard of that. Something like #1 and #2. Awesome, everyone needs a decent place to buy groceries.
ReplyDeleteIt has been three years since I have been to Terlingua and this store's name does not ring a bell. Where is it located?

ReplyDeleteAh. I know the Sul Ross one; didn't even know they had another one. Well, onward and upward I guess.
