High winds started last night at about midnight....let up after an hour then persisted throughout the day. Benita stayed on the south side and I stayed inside. Worked on the plan for the new solar oven which will be based on the design from these folks. http://www.omick.net/solar_ovens/current_solar_oven.htm
Really like the solar oven design. The whole website is really cool. Very, very minimalist, but intriguing.
ReplyDeleteThe Lab is really growing by leaps & bounds!

ReplyDeleteFirst day of Spring = brain day. Sounds good to me.
ReplyDeletethanks for the Omick link, I just the spent the last coupla hours intrigued in their story
ReplyDeleteBy looking at the excavation going on with your new access road I get the impression that your land contains all the dig-able soil in Terlingua. Usually all I see in your area is rocks and gravel.
ReplyDeleteThe guy with the tractor is a really nice friend to have. Can't wait to see the mega dam. A swimming hole?
ReplyDeleteAwesome design with the oven. Great having a mate with access to a tractor.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember seeing images of that part of your land with the gully.

You are very lucky to have a friend such as Ryan. From what I have read about him in several blogs he is an intelligent and hard working young man.
ReplyDeleteCan hardly wait to see your mega dam. Is this located in the new acreage you acquired?
Awesome solar oven from Omick. Can't wait to see what your take on it will be like.
ReplyDeleteAmbitious plans for the new dam. Hope it doesn't silt up as quickly as the last one.
