Hibernation
Pulling the plants out of their winter corner now. Everything including the grape vine is coming back to life.

been trying to jog the memory since yesterday - is 'Denise' Valentines mom? she was a little red with a white blaze too... and Ben-like buckys... Benita brought them over to meet you. history the photos are great - hopefully you'll be able to capture the first week at least. The Cain corral is a good backdrop.
Ohhhhhh. that photo of Denise and baby is so beautiful and serene. i hope you don't mind if i use it as a screen saver. looking at that photo every day would bring an instant smile.
If I remember correctly Denise is named after a very nice local Terlingua woman, supposedly because they're both black and have a huge rack. At least that was the story I was told.
Your cow photos are fantastic. They make me feel I am right there with them.

ReplyDeleteremmij....thanks for reminding me - I forgot about Valentine. Yup, that is Denise before I named her.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures. That is a hell of a set of horns Denise has. (I wonder if John names these cows after significant women in his past...!)
