Well son of a gun! Folks don't know crap about 'real' money any more! Doing the math, you have well over $200 in silver at today's prices. A friend says that she scours thriftshops around Austin and San Antonio for sterling silver that he often gets for pennies on the dollar. She melts them down and cast them into pencil sized rods so she can draw them in wire and rings later on.
Crucible & now Silver?
