Gone way too soon...
Had a visit this afternoon...bearing bad news. Dona Lu's daughter Renee stopped by to tell me her mother passed away. Dona Lu seemed to be in perfect health but was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer early this year and was gone within 4 months. I met Dona Lu and her mother 3 1/2 years ago when they came out to look at the tract of land she ended up buying SW of TFL. http://thefieldlab.blogspot.com/2010/01/end-of-winter.html It was always a joy to see her when she would stop by to visit on her trips to work on her property. Her last trip was around Christmas...she came out with her horses and dogs to contemplate her future. She was set to retire in 2 years. RIP my friend.
John, I agree far too soon. Dona Lu, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. life is so short. few are ready.
ReplyDeleteReminds myself of my Father going to hospital and 2 weeks later passed away of cancer on my birthday. Thought I share. Life is short, Live It!
ReplyDeleteMy condolences to Dona Lu's family and friends.
ReplyDeleteI wish for peace for you and your family, Dona Lu.

ReplyDeleteLife is far to short. May I add my sympathy.
ReplyDeleteMy sincere condolences to her family. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer in early january and given not more than 8 to 12 months to live. I am still here, still kicking, doing chemo, still working. I feel OK, have some minor digestive issues but nothing that meds cant take care. I wonder what the last days will be like, but I am enjoying the time I have left. I will find out who the real God is soon enough, so to all you out there, listen up, I bet she will set me straight.
