Ben has such a great personality. He looks like he is having a conversation with the egret. I noticed his eye looks red in the picture. Hope it is okay.
I wonder how much Ben would be paid to be the mascot. Why don't you call and investigate about what is involved. He is certainly gentle and healthy enough and good looking enough. Check it out and let us know.
IMHO Ben is your friend and he is really attached to you. The Field Lab is all he knows. I would hate to see him used as a mascot and possibly see the two of you separated.
Ben is a country boy of the great Chihuahuan Desert. None of that noisy city living - and banging drums and brash sounds at football games for Ben. Ben and John are now partners in a great life experience - that few of us live. IMO, being a mascot is for a city longhorn - who doesn't already have such a great life.
