Getting better, landed right on the landing pad. I wonder if that is the only human-like voice you hear for a few days at a time. Oh, you have internet news. Can you get shortwave radio there? I used to string wires and get that at night which I liked - worldwide coverage.
Just found you....on my 87th birthday. A very nice gift and I will be reading you regularly. Love the adventure but not that adventuresome myself. Will live sustainibility through you. Nancy Peters
Lol, John. Welcome Nancy. Glad you are here. How in the world did you find John - on UTube? There are a few of us here who hopefully will approach your longevity. You are doing so well. It impresses me. The people around me are not on the internet. When I mention the internet, they look blank or disgusted and their white-haired heads turn and look away. What area of the country are you in, Nancy? I am in Texas.
I stumbled across your blog this evening, and I have enjoyed watching your videos and reading your posts. The fact that you have an old Airstream trailer intrigued me, as I'm in the midst of refurbishing one. I found you through the "John Wells lighter from Vietnam" post circulating on FB. I love the desert and her creatures, so your javelinas and jack rabbit friends make me smile. The desert of New Mexico is my current home, though I am an old Puget Sound native. Regarding your drone footage: I made the mistake of traveling out to Terlingua once in June (beautiful, but way too hot for me), and your video reminded me of my scorching trip. :). Ben and Chua are pretty awesome, too.

ReplyDeleteThe drone landed itself autonomously...but I am beginning to have feelings for the voice.
ReplyDeleteHa-ha. Caution, might be a working fem-bot.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the cool film!
