I suppose even in Eden you had Cain and Able.

Yes, I knew about La Kiva situation. I did not know where Ted K.'s brother dug his hole. I guess with his cabin he might visit there. I wondered but now it is good to know. Do you think that Mary from KY might have had some animosity toward her parents. I was in Harlan County in KY where the sheriffs have a tv show. There are places like Skeletin Gap which could give you some idea of the area. Glad that is in my rear view mirror. And the poor fellow from Kilgore. Some people might have some short fuses. Like one fellow said, I am serene until something goes wrong. 🎇 yup, life in America. Thanks for the post John.

That's life on this planet. Man is inherently evil.

Such a shame that people just can't live in peace. Are people that jealous of those that are rich? And I don't mean with money but with the simple things in life, and good friends?

These things happen everywhere.

Among those articles they also gave all the reasons for wanting to be in a place like Terlingua.

The Cheers for the Field Lab! A bastion peace, tranquility, and repeated demonstrations of what intelligent hard work can accomplish. None of that Terlingua Ranch Drama here. I guess one of those longhorns is a little cantankerous- but John trying to improve his attitude!

God is the judge and let the chips fall where they may. I am not God and I have to remind myself that it is not my place to judge or it could come back on me. But I can observe and take what I like and leave the rest as they say.

You've been out there awhile and away from the mainstream. I don't live in a major city or a large town and I can promise you this is going on around me everyday of the week. It's just the way things are in this country today. So bad here in fact, you have to think twice about going to put some gas in the truck.
My headline is " If you're thinking about coming to S.Florida for vacation"

Comparatively speaking, this seems to be a relatively peaceful and quite place. Over around Longview this is just about a weeks worth of violence.

I think that's the deal.. it's a pretty benign place and when a crime does happen - it's more dramatic...

but I'm wondering if the raft guide was framed.. why would he take the shirt off the guy he killed - and take it home with him rather than throw it away? Something is fishy.

That's funny, John. :-) I do not mean that in a mean way. It just struck my warpped sense of humor as funny after all this seriousness.

A prayer for all involved. Terlingua is a bit too dry for my tastes. I might go out to Mason or Brady when to find my bit of paradise.

Praise Jesus, Lord. How terrible is this. You stay up drinking hard liquor until 4am and get in a verbal discussion and they guy was accidentally rendered deceased. oh my lord you bible thumping non realistic types never cease to amaze me. if you had a dream that god told you to walk off a cliff into the pacific ocean, would you do it?

Erm, just a quickie pro-tip for ya, Dave. Next time you'd like to offer a remote amateur diagnosis of other people whom you've never met as delusional kooks, it might be a good idea not to do it in a way which is so conceptually and grammatically disjointed that it makes you seem like you probably have a problem - either through the overconsumption of cognition impairing substances or through deep psychological defect - with keeping your own two feet in the 'reality based community' at all times.

Just saying.
