Follow the path - GPS for the soul.

Psalm 16Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.  2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;  But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.  Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.  The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.  The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.  I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.  I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.  Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.  10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.  11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Stunning ..stunning road in this pic. One always learn something new. Reading this scripture and looking at the pic it only dawned on me now that Jesus too loved walking. He walked everywhere and often long long roads. Like the Jerico road. Very arid and hilly. Don't know if you've been to Israel but I am sure He would have loved yours.

Wow! If that's your road, I can see what a mess rain could make of it. Does it usually dry out quickly?

This is looking south toward TFL on a road I seldom use. How fast my road dries out all depends on how much and how fast the rain falls. In the past couple of years I have only had to wait 2 or 3 days after a storm. The worst was 8 years ago when we had a very heavy rain followed by a full day of drizzle - I had to wait 6 days. A neighbor out here told me about 11 years ago there was a big storm that lasted 3 days and the road totally disappeared. It was 3 weeks before the ranch road crew fixed it.

Surreal like Mars. A person has to love the area to see the beauty like the natives who know little else.
