Groundhog Day

Punxsutawney Phil may have predicted more winter...but my Terlingua Creek Cat's-eye plants say otherwise.  61,76,36,0,B

Does their blooming signal the beginning of spring circa Terlingua ?

I guess those lovely plants have been around for a great many years -- and would have perished long ago if they started blooming when the weather was too cold. I doubt if our modern day weather forecasters have a better record.

I believe those lovely blooming plants have been around for a very long time! God must given them the ability to know when to bloom or - not to bloom. Weathermen would be blessed - if they could do as well!

Still snow on the pines up here in northern Michigan. Probably another month or so before the first Snowbirds return.
