Looks like more to come too...weather seems to be about twice as violent there than anywhere!! Hold onto Chupa!.I think Ben will be fine just a little uncomfortable.

This might be a good time to dig back a little on the road. My dogs can dig well when the ground is damp. I keep forgetting that I have bags of dirt in the truck to fill in the holes but they like their holes.

Heck - John Wells is going to have the non residents thinking it rains a lot on the Terlingua Ranch! With videos of rain damaged roads and photos of storm clouds moving across the area. Those things do happen - but not with a great frequency! The normal rainfall there - is only about 10 inches per year!
We had a great little cattle pond - that remained almost bone dry for about 10 years! Then last year - with all the rain - it finally filled up to the brim in one week. Don then updated his Craig's list For Sale advertisement as - waterfront property - and it sold the next week!
BTW. It was so dry at that dry cattle pond - our bird hunting suffered due to the lack of water. So we corrected that problem by putting gutters on the cabin there - installing a 1500 gallon water tank to collect the rainfall - and installing a water guzzler so all the wildlife could have a drink - every day - all year. And all kinds of wildlife are now using this added attraction - even with the nearby full cattle pond. Water is like gold in the desert!
