FedEx snafu...

FedEx was supposed to deliver my hard white wheat 2 days ago.  I got an email that said it was delivered but I was here all day and they never came to my house.  I filed a claim with FedEx and contacted customer support at Walmart.  Walmart was very accommodating and sent out another shipment free of charge right away.  FedEx finally called me this morning to say my shipment was left outside by a gate a mile away from my house - a gate that has no name or address but plenty of no trespassing warnings.  I told them where I was in relation to where they left my order.  I found my boxes there right after they called.  FedEx bites the bullet on this one for not delivering to the address on the shipping label and just leaving my order by the road - and I get a double order for the price of one.  That is of course if they actually deliver here tomorrow...  79,92,53,0,B

I ordered 20 coin cell batteries from Digi-Key. They delivered them to Houston,Tx. They delivered it to the correct sub-division, but got the house number and street wrong.

I am still amazed that 99.9% of the time I get my orders correctly delivered and right on time.

Sorry this happened on your birthday. Hope you had a good one otherwise. Happy Birthday!

So which one are you going to return or will your christian conscience allow you to keep both.

FedEx has one job...timely delivery of goods to the physical shipping address. The fact that it was scanned and marked as delivered to my address when it wasn't is unacceptable. Packages left by the roadside at an unmarked location is unacceptable. Waiting two days to be told that my order was left by the roadside is unacceptable. Leaving perishable items outside in the hot desert sun is not acceptable. Not knowing where my house is when the driver could ask just about anyone out here where I live is unacceptable. When I contacted Walmart about my missing order, they offered to send out another without any prompting from me and it was shipped 36 hours before I was told that the missing order was left by the road. FedEx is in the business of providing a service and when that service fails, they have to do what is right to maintain customer satisfaction. Under the circumstances, my "christian conscience" does not enter into the equation other than I forgive the driver for her negligence.

Update....Got my replacement order no problem. This one was routed through El Paso instead of Ft. Stockton and that driver knows me well and has been here many times. One of Chupa's brothers was named after him - Frank.

Most sellers will not accept returns of food items even if still sealed. Too risky.

WhyR now that was the correct answer rather than citing a half dozen slights real or imagined perpetrated by a lone woman on a dirt road on the edge of nowhere.

UPS will deliver to our remote property with no problem, FedEx won't even try. I think they might be in bed with the USPS, who also won't deliver here.

Dale...thank you for your passive aggressive insights and lame attempt at bringing my faith into question.
