but don't ask for a pony...

1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

When I was a new believer, I remember thinking this was a blank check, written to my name that would give me the desires of my heart.
The only problem was, my heart had become “sick” and desired many things that were contrary to my growth as a Christian.
I have learned over the years, that God gives me what I need, and takes care of me as a loving father.

I just saw the movie, (which I was not allowed to see movies when I was young because of possible bad ideas), Sister Act with Whoopi Goldberg. It was a serious, fun movie. :-) It was about a Reno Casino singer who witnessed a mob hit and was on the run and hiding in a Convent as a Nun. She transformed the choir and the Church became filled with believers and the Pope even visited. (The bad guys were caught).

The wealthiest person is the one who is content with what he (or she; PC qualification) has.

I don't know the origin of this aphorism; may be Thoreau.

We have many blessings in life.

Dear Sir,
Pardon me for being so direct in this appeal, but I am rather rushed to find some sort of quarters for the winter. The cold is coming to southern Indiana and quickly. I have an old GMC Mida RV and it may be able to make it to west Texas. Do you have any leading from ESHU (Aramaic for Jesus) in regard to hospitality toward other believers in need of sanctuary? By HIS grace I have been serving THE MOST HIGH for almost 36 years. HE has seen fit, in HIS infinite wisdom, to allow me to be tested with the lost of house, land, property. I am so blessed and thankful for that. However, I have no real direct leading as to where to go next. I would be happy to pay rent for an RV parking place for the winter months, if you should feel it is HIS Will to make such available to HIS old servant. I am surrendered to HIS Will, so if no is the answer it is still all good. Rom.8:28. Also, I have done a lot of construction work as well as ministry over the years, but am on two canes now (still able to get around though.) If things improve, and that is also in HIS most able hands, I would be very happy to be a humble assistant in helping you to build your project during the duration of such a stay. I have a tracphone and can sent you the number, and or you could send me yours, and we could discuss if you like these things. My email is genesis_ark@yahoo.com. I could not find yours yet. Sorry if this appeal is in any way awkward for you. I don't mean to be awkward, but somehow almost everything has become rather awkward these days. : ) It is all good. We must keep looking up, for our redemption draweth nigh, and is nearer still today than even yesterday. I will keep checking my email box daily, as usual, so should you send a reply I will get it in a day or so, as ABI(our FATHER in Aramaic) allows such things to work. I really appreaciate your videos and the stand you have made in west TX and will enjoy them in the future regardless of what comes. GOD willing a connection to the net will be available from time to time. In the grace that abounds yet more, sincerely, Scott D. Berner (unworthy servant of THE MOST HIGH CREATOR. AMEN.

I came for the construction tips. I stayed for the comedy.
