Congratulations on finding a perfect way to alienate long time fans. Bad manners and vulgarity are not going to help anyone. After following your blog for years I will be heading on down the trail.

hmmm... "Bad manners and vulgarity"? It is unfortunate you don't feel the same way about Trump as president.

So, you read minds too? That cloud of dust you see in the distance is loyal fans heading down the trail.

You'll find us when the dust settles, John.

The dust will settle only when Trump get's dumped in November. I lived in NYC for almost twenty years and learned long ago what a narcissistic dirt bag he really is. I like to think that most of my "loyal fans" are intelligent/mature adults, but I have little respect for Trump or his supporters so if you choose to no longer follow my blog, that's fine by me - don't let the door hit you in the ass. That "puff of dust" is from a few idiots who refuse to recognize that Trump is a dismal failure and an embarrassment as president when all the facts and things he says on an almost daily basis prove he is.

I do not understand tRumpers. Either they have been hypnotized or they are racist. Most can't tell the difference between a socialist or a communist.
This country is hanging by a thread. This is the most important vote in history.
So my hat's off to you John for having the huevos to make a stand for decency, as well as democracy.

This blog was much more enjoyable when it was about "Life off the grid in the SW Texas desert. An experiment in sustainable living."

What is happening right now in America is far more important than my day to day life off the grid...

Thanks for telling it like it is. It’s hard to understand Trump followers except for greed and bigotry.

Since you vote in a red state you vote for Biden won’t matter that much.

The spike in cases and deaths in Texas because Trump has ignored the pandemic might just change that.

Trump's ideas and political program he stands for are directly tied to his personal traits - a compulsive maniacal narcissist concerned about nothing more than himself and the adulation of his fans. He won the oval office being a political outsider while living far outside the lives of everyday Americans - a life of ultimate privilege that cursed him with the thought that he can do no wrong and every lie he tells becomes truth as long as he just keeps repeating it enough.

Typical liberal. Must insult and denigrate anyone that dares disagree with them even though they don't know them from Adam.

Sadly, I will be leaving as well. I hate Trump with a passion, but his policies are WAY better than any leftist will bring to this country. But instead of insulting my readers because they might disagree with me, I might be more compassionate so as to engage them in conversation. You change hearts and minds way better when you empathize. Just a suggestion.

Yes, I know Trump does the same thing. The irony isn't lost on me. But he's attacked more than any person on the face of the earth, for trying to do what he thinks is right for the country. So he can be excused for lashing out in defense. You, on the other hand, have no excuse. And you also claim to be a Christian. That one is pretty funny, based on the comments you've made here. Lucky for you, Christianity is folklore and nothing more. Otherwise, you might be in trouble for being so nasty to perfect strangers.

Cheers!

Buh-bye, Trump-dumplins.

Trump richly deserves the criticism he gets - for his lies, his lack of coherent leadership, his slash-and-burn glee as he dismantles environmental protections. "he can be excused for lashing out" - oh please. Playground bullies and 2-year-olds can "be excused for lashing out", but Presidents are meant to be of sterner stuff.

Let's never make this mistake again, my fellow Americans.

It's never healthy to harbor so much hate. Especially when you're going to have to deal with another 4 years of Trump's leadership.

Cheers!
