Just My Luck

Of course, there just has to be some rain in the immediate forecast that could throw a wrench in my departure plans.
I AM NOT going to hike out in the mud again - so if the forecast holds, I will leave tomorrow night and stay at a friend's easily accessible highway property until I head to Lubbock on Sunday.  Good thing I have a neighbor who will tend to Ben while I am away.

I know of Dr Miller, good reputation and comes from an outstanding family. His father David, was past mayor of Lubbock. Seems like they are of the “Mead’s Fine Bread” family. His aunt owns a great sandwich and ham store, Glazed Honey Ham, on 82nd just off of Indiana. Nothing better for lunch than one of their classic ham sandwich with a cup or bowl of hambone soup. I believe you are in good hands, just curious why not someone in Midland or Odessa? That’s additional ~~2-1/2 to 3 hours from Odessa. But overall, Lubbock outshines Midland & Odessa in healthcare hands down.

The procedure I need is not offered in Midland or Odessa. It was Lubbock or Dallas. It will be a long drive.

Lubbock's closer than Dallas for sure, and a more agreeable place. Hope things continue to go well.
