link sunday...

New calf came in this morning...knew this would happen soon cause the momma was "springing" a couple of days ago.  Bindi is its name.  Got a brilliant new drawing of Benita today from Jeremy McElwrath...brother of Jess - aka http://theshady80.blogspot.com/   Harvested my first 3 tomatoes for supper tonight.  Researched CEB's ( compressed earth block) half the day.  Best links I could find were plans to purchase at http://www.dirtcheapbuilder.com/cinvaramplans.html  and this video where I can probably figure it out if I really want to build one.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHfSd1Lkgss&feature=related

Did some digging online for music videos I built props for back in the early 90's and found four - all directed by my filmmaker friend Marcus Nispel.  Really took me back to the day hearing these songs again.  When they shoot a music video, they play the song over and over and over - I still know these songs by heart after all these years.

I know what you mean about all those songs still "accessible" as I was a musician in younger days.
The tomatoes all look very edible- outta try cucumbers with the next batch. They grow easily and really produce a lot. Hungry again...

Regarding CEBs, there's also the Open Farm Tech one...

I came on over here to let you know that we ducked, and covered ... all is well, thank you :)

But, OMGoodness ... IN THE NAME OF LOVE ... used to shake my booty at the Upstairs Club to this dance-techno remix.

I remember 100% Pure Love, too ... from the same upstairs club.

Not sure if I recall the other song or not ... I don't think so, but the more I listen to it, it sounds familiar ... maybe I am just trying to will myself to remember it.

Anyway, I love(d) the club re-mix of U2's song, and remember it very wells.

LOL

Those CEB machines are pretty neat! I hadn't seen them before, so thanks.

CEBs are great. How about soil cement pavers?

I took a workshop on CEBs a few years back in San Antonio from a group that's now based in Mexico. Their website is at:
http://www.institutotierraycal.org/
Jim Hallock presented it and we went to the site of one of the machine builders to do some actual hands-on work Definitely worth the money. They've got another one coming up this weekend.
