That's what I'm talkin bout JW! A man has to have a little R&R every once in a while.
I'm really impressed with the way everything is coming together.
Swamp Girl looks like she is having fun...I hope there is an easy entrance to the swamp.
Seems to me some of that steel, ?north of the ridge?, in the plant growing area should be @ least translucent (fiberglass clear roofing?) to let some more light in for plant growth. If it's too hot, then how about some solar blower fans to circulate the heat somewhere...
Senor' JW, that is one fine courtyard. The lighting looks like there will be many happenings and photo opps. That ol' swimming hole you had the foresight to create is quite an accomplishment. I started coming to the bend in 1973. There was no swimming holes that I knew of other than the deep holes along the river.
In this picture you can really appreciate how big TFL lake is.
it's all really looking fabulous...
good swamp, good space for jungle. But better watch out for storks getting in w the cranes.
Where did everything go? You have just lost a huge storage area. (grin)
What's the rope hanging off the cliff for?
The line running down the cliff is an old tape measure I set in place for my depth gauge.
Everything is coming together nicely! Would love to see a birds-eye view of how TFL looks today.
I'm glad to see you're enjoying your marvelous water. Is it starting to hold better yet?
I come at least once a day to see the progress you are making and I often suggest to friends and even acquaintances of just a few minutes that they come see what's going on at TFL. Your blog is a daily respite and many of us live vicariously through you! Going to come visit in the Fall, I hope, and bring beer, bullets and burritos!
Is it deep enough for jumping off the cliff into Lake Wells?
I could be wrong, but I believe this is the first good look we've had inside the Greenhouse since you've finished the roof and doors. It sure looks nice and inviting. I like the ladder up against the container to the right. You can store a lot of "stuff" up on top of the containers, and it'll be pretty much out of sight. Great thinking!
That water is looking really good right now. All your hard work and planning is really, really starting to pay off now. Glad you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor, and have a friend to share it with. Hope y'all had fun swimmin'.
Looking great John. You've really transformed your piece of desert.
