"A day of cheese and wind"
That's a lot of dust in the air.
Good looking cheese.
Here's a question for anyone within 50-miles or so of The Field Lab, who is a good local neighbor to visit with who has some experience with vegetable/herb gardening in your area? I would really like to hear about some actual desert-style vegetable/herb growing methods, varieties used, watering methods, etc. Is anyone having good luck with composting using primarily desert natural resources? How bad is the wind on local gardens? General gardening thoughts? Thanks. Compost Bob
To compost Bob: Look at Terlingua Green Scene. Shannon is trying really hard to just what you mention. They have a produce sale every Saturday morning/early afternoon until it gets too hot. Just across from the Ghost Town. Lots of luck on retiring again.
@Jaime - You're correct. Terlingua Green Scene is a terrific reference site worth visiting often. Also, I ill make contact with Shannon. Thanks.
