Sometimes the road quickly gets really terrible - due to erosion or other factors. And when that happens, all that steel surrounding a passenger in a pickup truck - protects one much better. And yes, they do get stuck. I once stuck a Super Duty diesel 4x4 pickup so bad - it took two wreckers to pull me out!
