Hurry! Run to the store and get some Charmin Ultra Soft. That thin hotel TP is gonna feel like 100 grit sandpaper before you're done! (Speaking from recent experience.)

ps they will tell you you have to have someone drive you home, they did for me anyway...I let slow John drive me home instead of my usual hurry up John...counts as a different person, right? I got one of my tbi's letting someone else drive, VERY rare to see me in a passenger seat.

This is much ado about nothing. I can't remember any major discomfort and the evacuation was quick and easy, then I did have indoor plumbing and a bedroom right next to the evacuation chamber.

A bucket by the bed?

If you cannot drive yourself home right away, you could always rest in the truck or a fast food place for some hours.

I was advised 21 years ago by some friends about the septic system here. I do not plug it with paper. I put the paper in a plastic garbage bag in a garbage can. Then when full, I tie the top of the small plastic bag with a knot and put it in another bag for the garbage. I am so used to it now that it is no bother. (My septic is always totally clean).

(Years ago, my son's girlfriend plugged up their septic pipes with volumnes of toilet paper. He had a lot of work cleaning that out).

In the future you might be able to find or buy a low cost portable potty for emergencies like this for beside the bed. It is much more comfortable than a bucket or running outside. (I also keep some extra bottles of Pepto Bismol for an unexpected virus emergency).

By the way, I thought this phase of the test was the worst. (I was temporarily deprived the joy of eating. :-) The rest of this you will not feel or remember or have any after affect that I can remember. (It is just the nerves our mind plays on us, so just relax and ride it out).

Just FYI - John - on the later live stream - the chat dialogue box normally on the right during your prior livestreams was not there...

Hope all goes well today!

Living that far away from civilization I would think the aliens would have been by to give that test a long time ago. (conspiratorial wink)

…think it was near here?? thankfully some distance from John's hogan… (~950 miles±)
note the proximity of the Dugway Checker Board Night Club
Genesis (spacecraft)
hard landing
liked this one - the fate of Edgar's truck… if it had just been a Toyota, like John's, might have been able to buff it out…

I have been to 23 countries, and each time I enjoy, while learning about different cultures, how they live, etc. Each time I had those experiences, I realized how spoiled most of this earths population is. In the middle east, I would see small village homes in the middle of nowhere like this gentleman, with bare floors, no running water or electricity, and roughly 8-10 living under one roof, which equates to roughly 100SF. If you are in a village, and not a nomad, your mortgage is basically providing support to the village by offering livestock, or whatever is needed. Hats off to you John. Use some rusty nails on your nursery stock roots, brings plenty of iron to them, and branches will need propping in a couple of seasons. :)
